We provide assistance in developing business cases for data centre consolidation, retrofit, and new build projects. Our team supports the public sector in devising innovative procurement strategies, offering comprehensive guidance on tendering processes and contractual frameworks to ensure value and compliance.
Our technical services include detailed data centre audits and energy consumption measurements (or estimations where necessary). We provide strategic guidance on cloud and data centre consolidation, new build specifications, and retrofit designs, all informed by the latest international standards and best practices.
We facilitate the transfer of knowledge through curated best practices and exemplary case studies from across Europe. Regular training sessions, networking events, and workshops are conducted, focusing on innovation procurement and energy efficiency in data centres.
We organise 14 networking events across various European cities throughout the project. These are complemented by an online platform supporting ongoing engagement through a Special Interest Group.
Our training programmes are delivered both online and face to face at selected events. These sessions focus on innovation procurement and enhancing energy efficiency in data centre environments.
The EURECA tools assist in identifying energy-saving opportunities in data centres. Grounded in validated models and best practices, they offer practical procurement support and access to a curated market directory.
The EURECA project is an EU Commission funded initiative under the Horizon 2020 programme. Launched in March 2015, EURECA brings together partners from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, and Germany. The project is designed to provide tailored solutions to identify cost-saving opportunities while highlighting the environmental implications of procurement decisions in data centres.
Currently, EURECA supports consolidation, new build, and retrofit data centre projects across multiple European countries, with a strong emphasis on public procurement for innovation (PPI). The project also contributes to the development of European standards, best practices, and policies related to energy efficiency and green public procurement in data centres, providing robust scientific evidence and data.
