EURECA Workshop in Latvia

The event brings together industry experts and public sector representatives to share experiences and discuss various aspects relating to energy efficiency and sustainability of data centre products and services. Data centre standards, KPI’s and innovation procurement around energy efficiency are among the topics discussed. The event is suitable for C level IT executives, ICT managers, policy makers, energy managers, data centre managers, and procurement professionals.

Learning objectives:

  1. Understand why Public Sector procurement has an important role in making the sector and society greener and more efficient
  2. Differentiate between conventional procurement, public procurement of innovation (PPI) and Pre-competitive Procurement (PCP): what is needed when?
  3. Learn which EU Directives are of importance to the procurement of environmentally sound data centre products and services by the public sector
  4. Know where to find information about PPI and PCP supporting initiatives
  5. Develop a clear understanding of the relevant standards and KPIs associated with operating a data centre
  6. Generate an understanding of how they should be applied
  7. Evaluate good practices and compare your own projects with those of peer organizations in Europe.
