EURECA Amsterdam event spotlighted by Datacenter Works

Following the successful event in Amsterdam with the launch of the new EURECA tool, we had another news update from Datacenterwork.nu, a prominent online datacenter industry magazine magazine by FenceWorks.

The event “Green ICT & Procurement” has been successfully organised by Green IT Amsterdam and the EURECA project. Good practices, experiences and business models have been shared and reviewed such as the data center consolidation program of the government. Furthermore, the launch of the EURECA platform was the main trigger of the event. There was also a demonstration of various features of the platform and additionally an introduction to various topics of the training modules.

As a government organization, you can understand how your data center environment stands now using the assessment module which is integrated into the platform. This module is partly based on existing practice DCMM of The Green Grid, an assessment method whereby the maturity level can be determined on energy efficiency and related sustainability issues. The assessment can be performed for each self-contained (and the tool identified) data center environment within the organization and can be initiated either responsible by the purchaser as ICT.
